Hi, I'm new to the area and I'm looking for some paper or scrapbooking stores.  I make cards.  I did a google map business search for scrapbooking stores but everything was way out in MD or VA, and I live in the district.

Is there anything hiding out there?  I'm really looking for some good cardstock in a variety of colors as well as some fun papers.

There's Paper Source in Georgetown.  The nearest Metro is Foggy Bottom/GWU (Orange and Blue lines), although you will still have to walk from Metro to G'town.

Paper Source is awesome. Obviously expensive but worth the trip. I'm not a scrapbooker but sometimes use little things in other crafts and I got a lot of stationary for alright prices. It's also three stories, I think, so there's a lot to choose from!

PaperSource <3 <3 <3!!!!  Soo neat. The top floor is where all the goods are, and I think for the quality and the experience of the store the prices aren't so bad.  Granted, I only use a small portion of the things they sell there.

I believe there is also one in Alexandria? paper-source.com

Hey Sixleaf Smiley
I've been looking for places to buy nice papers as well (definately checking out the already posted places!), one place that I go to that is affordable (and Metro accessable) is A.C. Moore, 2 blocks from the White Flint stop on the red line; it is only a 10-15 minute ride from Adams Morgan.

I want to put in another vote for Ipso Crafto in the Eastern Market area (http://www.ipso-crafto.com/ - 733 8th Street SE, Washington - (202) 546-4329). It is a local business owned by a local crafter, and they have some of everything--scrapbooking, fabric, etc.
