I know you have all seen burp cloths before, but you haven't seen mine.

My cousin is due in November so as part of her present I made a few burp cloths. Mine are a wee bit different because I designed up boutique like labels for fun.

Here are the pics:

The Manly Man Burp Cloth (for her husband)

The Girly Girl Burp cloth for my cousin
(I am giving her two, this one and a pink gingham ice cream one)

Label Details:

The Girly Girl

"For the woman who wants sugar and spice."

The Manly Man

"For the man who doesn't want flowers and bears."

I think it's pretty cute and fun. I designed and printed the labels in Photoshop. My cousin really is a girly girl so I think those are appropriate. Plus I figure her husband wouldn't want to wear such girly things so even though they are having a little girl I made him a more manly one.

What do you think?

The packaging really makes the whole gift complete!

With the chaos of newborns, I'm sure the new dad will have more than a few times he's adorned in flowers and baby designs.  It's really great that you are giving a gift that gives him special acknowledgment as a parent.  What a great gift!

Thank you very much. This is my first time attending a baby shower and I figured the husband is usually left out of the festivities and I wanted him to get something so he can feel included. ^_^

That's really awesome to package things so professionally and cleverly!  One of my favorite things about watching my male friends and my female friends' partners become parents is how quickly that manly man business turns into cooing, cuddling and kisses.  It's so great that these days it's not impossible to find gifts for dads specifically and how proud they often are of their manly burp clothes, manly diaper bags and manly tea parties.  I'm sure your cousin-in-law will be thrilled as will the people who buy and receive the ones you sell.

Oh my gosh!  This is ingenious!  Totally hilarious and will make for an extra fun baby shower, as well as a wonderful gift!  Cheesy

Just one question--probably a dumb one Roll Eyes~
how did you make these cloths?  They look sort of "angled" from the pics.

Rather than make a rectangular cloth I saw some cloths that had circular edges to accommodate for the shoulder and neck. So I used a little trash can I have to cut out two semi circles from the sides of the rectangles. ^_^ I tried them on and they fit pretty well. (Although I am not having babies any time soon)

These are too cute, and it's wonderful of you to keep Dad in mind. My poor husband still dresses all in black with all of his metal band T-shirts, and carrys a frosting pink baby girl with him everywhere  Cheesy He loves it, but I know he also loves the little rocker onesies my Dad bought her just for him.

And, like everyone else has said before me, super cute packageing
