Probably the best Happy Hooker project I've ever done...
«

...and I have to thank the good people at FedEx/Kinkos for it:
I got tired of having to hold the pages open with paperweights, my knees, my dogs, whatever, thus causing many of the pages to fall out, so I took my book to FedEx/Kinkos to have it spiral-bound. I only paid about $6.50 and it was ready the next day...
Hehe, I know it's not a crochet project and probably more like a suggestion (or an ad for Kinkos), but I'm very excited.
This will make the projects so much easier!!

To be honest - I can't understand why they didn't print/publish the book in this method anyway. I have the SIMPLICITY'S SIMPLY THE BEST SEWING BOOK and it was sold to me in this similar method. However, being from the UK I don't know of anywhere that would do a book like this so will have to check this out - but it's a great idea.
With blessings.

very good idea, especially since you already had pages falling out!
did you have kinkos cut off the spine or did you do it yourself?

Artsy idea:
I went to Office Max and bought a ream of cool paper...it was acid free, flecked with little spots of color and my daughter and fiance looked at me like I was crazy when i asked them to make it into three notebooks.....I spent about $10 on the whole thing then i showed them the awesome notebooks it made. The pages don't fall out, they lie flat or fold over and it's great for sketching clothing ideas and such.
Smart of you to do when these types of paperbacks do fall apart after lotsa loves.
I heart my Happy Hooker book. Inspiring ideas!

That is a GENIUS idea!
Ya know, I don't know why knit and crochet books don't come like that anyways. I practically have to break my book in order for it to stay on the page.

Haha, thanks you guys! I was surprised at how cheap it is!
Charlotte--I'm sure if you have any sort of office supply store or photocopy store, they'll do it for you. I've heard people get it done at Staples or OfficeMax...I don't know if they have anything like that near you, but worth a shot.
Kategirl--Nope, I just brought the book as is and said I need it spiral bound. They did the rest.
I guess it kind of helped too that the lady behind the counter crocheted too...she asked if she could look through the book while it was there, LOL.

Any OfficeMax copy department will do the same for your books. They can laminate the covers as well, which is usually what I have done.
