Garden Scarf Question

Ok, I know this topic has been brought up to death, but I just still can't figure out how to join my flowers.  I think I am following the instructions properly, but I am just getting a bunched up look where they are joined.  Does anyone know of a video that  may show what they mean when they are joining these flowers, cause I keep reading things but its just not sinking in.  I really don't want to have to frog it all but I am at that point frustration wise.
