Oooo, Sarah, I LOVE the journal you sent L!  The pic on the front reminds me of Lori Early's (sp?) paintings (she's been in the lowbrow art mag Juxtapoz sometimes, and I love her work.)  Great job

Even though I got this like more than two weeks ago, I was sick, then my kids were sick, and life bit me in the ass...
Anyhoo, I got a lovely journal from dragonslair (which I have already answered and sent back) along with some adorable crocheted booties for my son and some Alvin and the Chipmunks stickers (thanks so much - that was one of my favorite shows when I was growing up!), so I figured it was high time that I posted.

Woo, more pictures!

First, I received from mezofoprezo, who sent me this lovely journal:


which I actually had a difficult time deciding how to add touches to, as I was pretty sure I was going to mess it up, it looked so nice the way it was. 

Well, I'd just started writing in Keri's journal, when what should arrive but -   ANOTHER journal!  A mixup surprise, how exciting!  This was one mixup I was super happy happened.    This one's from yberry, all the way from Israel.


Somewhere along the oceans between us, the package got a little wet, and so the super-pretty butterfly paper peeled up a little.  I fixed it back up and it looks as good as new, I think, but this picture was taken before I fixed it, hence the little bit of rumpliness.
See that sort of title page?  The characters are (I think, if I'm remembering right... the journal's already been sent off, and my memory is not so great) Japanese for "pen pals", and the pretty soft colored background was done by Yael's little girl!  It's a really neat touch.

Both journals are now added to and back on their way back to their owners, finally!  Hooray!
