Crafty at heart

This is a piece that I have created for Alteredmommy since she is being fantastic and sending me some fabric for a project. She asked for a bright piece of art for her workroom...I hope this fits the bill.

I was stenciling this voodoo heart image from Stencilry onto the back of one of my shirts to cover an ink splotch when it occurred to me that it looked like a paint splotch itself. So the main heart image was from the centre stencil, painted with watercolours. Recycling as well as inspiration! I loved the circles on the ends of the tendrils so I used patterned papers and watercolours, felt circles, thread and buttons to make more circles. Since this is destined for a workroom I tried to make it crafty!

That's fantastic!  GREAT Work, love the mixed media. 

I just did a square piece last night that has buttons and rows of 3 isoceles triangles too!   Nothing as bold and fun as this though.
