Hi, everyone!

last friday, i visited my not-so-local hobby lobby and picked up the Nicky Epstein Knit Kit for a Capelet and Fingerless gloves - for $10. I LOVE the yarn - the only problem is that it was just a plastic bag with all the yarn and a darning needle in there - no info on the yarn content or anything!!! the only reason i know it was a Nicky Knit Kit was because i had been admiring it a couple of months ago when they still wanted about $25 for it!

i've looked all over the net and found that the kit number is #86424, but as mentioned before - nothing about the yarn. does anybody own this kit and still have that info lying around? i wasn't going to make the capelet, i was thinking of using the yarn for a hat or something.

any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!

Have you tried making a gauge swatch & just going with that  & some math to make your hat? Smiley

Here is a link to someone selling the kit on eBay.  They say that the yarn is 65% alpaca and 35% acrylic, but they don't give any gauge info.  You could contact the seller and see if there's an 800 number on the package to contact the company.  Good luck!
