I was thinking leaves in the fall, snowflakes for winter, etc., but it must be noted that I have a fascination with 4-seasons imagery.  Ahem.  After reading the rest of the thread, I thought "Fawn!"  4' would be enough, right?

I agree with the birds suggestions but think they would be really cool as 3-D instead of flat blue like the tree. There's always little chick-a-dees in the floral section. Maybe that would be a cool touch? As for the remainder of the blue, how about a birdbath?
