This is the first bag i've ever made, so please be kind Wink. It was made for my fashion class, I drafted the pattern myself. I used some kick butt fabric that i found in a thrift store for $2.00 (they were curtans) as the liner, and black courdoury or the outside. On the inside, it has a zippered pocket, and on the outside it has two pockets, one on each side. It has a button closure that matched the fabric (horray for covered buttons!) Anyways, on to the pictures (which i'm sorry are terrable!)

Wonderful! You did a really good job! Look at all the "extras": cell phone pocket, covered button, pockets - you really made this your own and you should be proud.

What a fantastic bag and I love the lining fabric.  I'm presently making a visit to goodwill stores and looking for curtain fabric (even old duvets as well) for the exact same purpose - as well as many other ideas  Cheesy

Well done you and keep it going.

With blessings.

i am totally in love with this  Shocked

was at old navys a couple days back and saw a corduroy messenger bag much like this for about 25 bucks. It was really too small though, no chance of fitting anything useful Sad How big did yours turn out?
