I know only you other crazies (you know I got nothin but love for ya) would understand. I am usually a very random yarn buyer...I buy enough to make a yeti a sweater in anything that appeals and then match patterns to it later...inefficient and crazy, but that's me.

So for the first time I went online to get a specific yarn for a specific pattern. Like a good craftster, I went straight to Etsy lol.  I fell madly madly inlove with a gorgeous huge cake and snapped it up. It was exactly what I wanted colorwise, was enough for the project and was a reasonable price.

So feeling smug...I wandered away from the credit card and returned to crafting.  Later, I went to admire the pics and daydream, guess how long it would take to get here and gather my needles and bag to put the project in. As I looked I realized that I never looked at the weight of the yarn ....it was lace weight and I needed worsted. Bugger bugger bugger...did it again...

Oh well...back to the credit card....back to Etsy..start all over again lol. So I have the yarn for the already chosen project, and then this gorgeous...almost my dream yarn colorway on the way.

Double happiness. Will post pics lol

Hooray for double yarn!

Depending on the colors of the lace-weight, you could also make yourself a really beautiful shawl or scarf (I'm gearing up for Eunny Jang's Print O' the Wave stole myself).

With fall and winter coming up, you'd get tons of wear out of either and you could admire it every day.

Have fun knitting something extra with the beautiful yarn  Wink  As for loving the colorway, many etsy sellers will custom dye a yarn in the colors you want and the weight you want.
