picture hosting problems

when i try to go to my picture hosting, i get a white screen with a message that says:

8/23/07 - Craftster Picture Hosting is temporarily unavailable.

Pictures you have uploaded are viewable in the forum but you can't add new pictures right now.
Stay tuned. We hope to have this working again soon!

but i see that other people are posting pics with no problem. does anybody else have this problem or know what it's about?? i have lots to post and want to get posting!!

Just Craftster's own picture hosting service is down. But people can still host pictures elsewhere like PhotoBucket or wherever.

Photobucket is being jerky today for me.  I can copy the image address if I log directly into my account, but it won't load via Craftster at the moment.  Hopefully it's fully functional again very soon!

Today, photobucket works half-way.....
It posts only links.

Ohh...it's kinda back up for me, too.  All day, the darned widget wouldn't load and if I had the sound on, I could hear it reloading over & over.  It was quite annoying.

If you log directly into photobucket.com on one screen and have Craftster on the other, you can copy & paste that way.  I know it's not as easy as the widget, but that's what I did earlier.

Correction!  Mine is fully functional now.  Yay!

When I use the pull down menu under "my craftster", & it sends me it craftster pic hosting I get the note. The "hang with us we're working on it " note. But that was from the 23rd. today's the 31st.
  Any progress? I want to post my Buffy swap pics! Should I use a different route to get there? Am I the only one? Any help/feedback is fantastic.

I don't think you have to use your cell phone number to register on Photobucket unless they've changed since I registered.

I think it might have asked for a phone number when I reg'd a couple months ago but I don't think it was mandatory.  If it was, I'm sure I gave a fake number

I, too, have been anxiously awaiting the return of picture hosting.  I will go try to use the Bucket, but it hates my computer, and my Flickr allotment of the month is already used up.  Waah!

Can anyone tell me, like I am a 4 month old mentally defective housecat, how to get photos from the Bucket to show up as photos, and not links, in a craftster post?

When I'm logged into my Photobucket widget on Craftster, it looks like this:

I click on one of the 6 smaller photos at the top and it automatically spits it into the selected photo box below and updates the line the the IMG code for the forum.  Then I double-click that IMG code and it copies it to my computer.

I click back in my post, and hit Ctrl+V it pastes it in my post.

I'll see if there is a tutorial on Photobucket about the widget.  It might be a little more clear than I can explain.

Craftster will still resize your images to 500-wide in the posts, but they remain the same size in your account, so it's pretty nifty!
