here it is! i apologize for my crappy paint illustration.

1. Fold your petal down the middle the long way.
2. What it looks like when it's folded.
3. Stack up the folded petals all together. Sew them all together with one stitch.
4. Knot the thread so they're all held together. Don't worry about it looking nice at this point.
5. Now that your petals are at least held together in one clump, you can move them around so that it actually sort of resembles a flower. When it's arranged as you like it, sew the petals together again to hold the shape.

thanks so much for the pic... lol... the drawings were actually very clear btw. i think i'm going to try to make a flower with this pretty spotted purple fabric i have and my old navy blue corduroy pants!!
