I know this is old but I found this and remembered this post.

It's not exactly the same b/c this one has a brim but it can be omitted

If I remember correctly, the top is a lozenge shape (oval with pointy ends). The rest is more or less straight. You'll have to shape it a little to get the curved part. The straight part might have some light interfacing. I can't remember what is cut on the bias, and what straight. Put some grosgrain ribbon around the inside at the bottom for a band.
