Ok, I am looking to make one of those things that have a plush animal head, and then attached to that is a small bit of satin/fleece for a mini-blankie type thing. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

I'd like to find out more about it, but I can not for the life of me figure out what you would call it (makes it hard to search for!). Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks much!

My son has a bunny one, well actually 2, they are identical, I got the 2nd one so we would have a back up because he would only sleep if he has his bunny, but when he realized there were 2 he decided he has to sleep with both of them, he loves his bunny twins and sleeps with them every night (he will be 2 in 3 weeks).
Talk about a run-on-sentence, haha.
Anyhow, his are made by Bunnies By The Bay and they call them "Buddy Blankets."

I remember seeing a post on here, ages ago, possibly even while I was pregnant with my little guy, where someone had made a blanket like this, I don't remember what the animal was, maybe a bear, but really I don't remember and I searched a little but couldn't find, sorry.

Thanks guys! Yes, mamasurf, those are exactly what I was looking for.

"Security blankie" seems like a good place to start the search, thank you!

And thanks for the brand name, Zelda - that helps a bunch! Your son and his "twins" are adorable.

In case anyone is interested, I cam across a pattern for these today at Joann Fabric. It's a McCall's pattern, and McCall's patterns are only $1.99 this weekend, but they were all out. Sad But now I can keep my eye out for it!

The pattern is M3061 (http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M3061.htm?search=3061&page=1)
