Okay, so I'm having a really difficult time deciding what I should do with this.  The design is cross stitched on gingham that I backed with a fusible interfacing for some stiffness.  The owl was, um, "inspired" by a cross stitch kit selling for $12 at fredflare.  Needless to say, I did not buy the kit.  The writing says "good night" in Russian.  It measures about 4 x 1 3/4 inches at its widest and tallest points.

I'm thinking maybe a sleep mask because of the nighttime sentiment?  But then again I think it's kinda cute, and I'd rather show it off to someone other than my boyfriend and my cats.  Plus I've never once worn a sleep mask in my life and I'm not so sure that I'd ever use it.  So a pouch?  But that seems kinda dull.  Do you guys have any ideas?

It looks so sweet!  Owls don't usually do anything for me - but this one is just adorable.

The first thing that comes to my mind is a pillowcase - I think it's because my grandmother used to make pillowcases and aprons out of gingham fabric like that with cross stitched pictures on them.

If you know anyone having a baby it would make a lovely quilt or one of those signs to hang on the door when baby is sleeping.

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

It's wonderful. My first thought was a pillow also. You could put it over a contrasting fabric. Displayed in the bedroom I think it would look adorable.

I love the idea of a sleeping mask or maybe a lavender warming pillow (the ones with the rice and lavender that you can heat up in the microwave)

While I'm not having a baby, I sure would appreciate a Russian owl accessory, you know, for my inner baby...

or something.

I agree with the pillow comments... but ALSO I think gingham would make a great half-apron, with some silly little lace trim around the edges.

You know, that's a good idea.  This awesome chick I know gave me a huge length of hot pink stretchy lace that would go perfectly.   Wink

I love your little owl! I would use him on a tote bag or something similar- I know that doesn't go with the 'good night' words, but most people in an English speaking country won't understand the words anyway!! Grin
