A class I was in last fall published a book of poems and short stories and because the book came in from the printers over the summer, we decided to postpone the book launch until now.
I'm in charge of invitations and general party planning. Because this is a publication that was funded in part by the university and also other organizations across the state, we would like this to be a semi-formal-ish launch party.
Does anyone have any ideas for invitations? I was thinking of using the scroll idea but I'm not sure if they would be right for a book launch party.

You could use a single sheet of paper to look like something that occurs in a book: a table of contents or a dedication page.  Or you could make it look like something that occurs at a library.  Or use your favorite poet as a quote and work the invite around that!
