Baby Onesies, so cute!

I loved making these onesies. I made them for my not yet born nephew but I couldn't resist making a few girly ones too. I'll just keep them to look at





But my favorite one is this one. there's a story behind it. My nephews name will be Damien Blaze. So how could I not give him a blaze? I used one strand each of red, yellow and orange.



But wait! It gets better. My brother is a big tattooed dude. Sleeves on his arms, covered legs, back, you get the picture. I thought little Damien would like his own tattoo so I stitched this on one of the arms.


This was my first time stitching on onesies. I was a little concerned with the stitching rubbing on the baby (especially if he has the ultra sensitive skin my son had) so I stitched on white cotton fabric, and then I used lightweight heat and bond and stitched around the edges. Now he only has a little back stitching to worry about.

I might just have to make more

Ooohhh!  I love them all!  (especially the knitting one!)  I love unusual middle names.  My daughter is Madison Tuesday and we're trying for another.  If it's a boy my husband is dead set on Logan Danger.

To the pp, lol, when I read "Logan Danger" I could just hear someone saying "Danger?! Ha! My middle name is Danger." That's a cool name, though, and would have been entirely appropriate for my little guy...

I like that you made patches first - I think I'll do that next time. I found embroidering on onesies (even with stabilizer) to be a pain in the butt

nice work...my personal fave is the cupcake the colors are just right and the mom tattoo is totally cute!  i think patches are a great choice for t-shirt fabric.  you sound a little wistful about those girl ones!

hehe...wistful?!?! My little girl is 6 now, and my son is 9. No more wee ones for me. Sadly I didn't do any sort of crafting when they were babies. No hand knits for them

beautiful! And I love your alternative to stitching on the onesies to avoid the stabilizer nightmares that may come up...adding those little squares gives me neat color-combo ideas!
