HSG, black was the perfect choice for this piece.  Now, shall I send my address so that you can mail it to me?!?! 

Black was *THE* perfect choice for this piece.  It pops all of the vibrant colors for you, and demonstrates your (as usual ) perfect grout lines, and each individual piece of glass.

Gosh, that is really amazing! I am so inspired! Beautiful work! I am a dabbler with little equipment so glass seems really intimidating to me. But I have done mosaics, it just never occurred to me to put glass on glass (I'm sheltered, LOL). I may just have to try it. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! I have one already! What are the adhesive options? I know you said you used a caulk gun, but barring that, will something like E6000 work? And, it's just ordinary window glass, right? *can't wait to go home and raid basement for old windows*

I am not the expert, but my aunt who is a Fused Glass artist swears by E600 for glass on glass, and glass on metal/wood applications.  She has been using it to make pins, jewelery, tile/mosaic furniture as well as make drawer pulls and cabinet hardware for years.  I would say that for a beginner it would be a good start.

Thanks! I use it for...everything! Including, on occassion, finger on metal and finger on thumb applications!

Yes, you can use E6000, but that can get expensive if it is a bigger mosaic.

The GEII silicone also comes in squeeze tubes at any home improvement or hardware stores. It comes in clear, and is about $5.00 for a tube that will do a few projects.

If you're doing a project for outside there are other adhesive options, too.

Please, post pictures of any mosaics. It would be nice to see others work.
