They glitter, they glow, they're blacklight-reactive.  Best of all, they make me feel like the coolest middle-schooler ever!  (Unfortunate, really, that I'm only a decade or so late...)
I've had these for a very, very long time.  Today I got the wild urge to scrub all the muck off of them and slap a new coat of paint on things.

It's acrylic paint (the cheap kind from the Wal-Mart craft department) and glitter-glue.  The stars glow in the dark, but I couldn't get a good picture.  The rest glows under UV.  Danger is my stage name/ grrl gang name/ comic-book alter-ego, and all-around favorite name.  The glitter's a lot more even than it looks in the picture, BTW.  There are actually two shoelaces, one that's just hot pink and one that's Rainbow Brite.  I took them off my old bowling shoes when I outgrew them.

Now, the only thing is, I'm trying to decide if I should paint the other skate with stuff like this, or just leave it white.  With this much on one, I'm kind of wondering if it's necessary.  Maybe I'll just put a couple of stars on it.

They so remind me of my 9th birthday party in 1984.  It took place at an awesome skating rink that no longer exists.  Love the laces too!

I love the neon colours. So much! Haha.

I would leave the other white though, because then it's just like a POP of awesome on the one side. I don't know. =)

i think that the idea of painting the other is good but if it was me i would leave the other white it would be an awesome contrast and make this one just jump out at you in the best way!!!

The fact that you own a pair of quad skates makes you awesome already but the fact that you were able to elevate them to this level of glittery, glowing fantastic makes you a cut above awesome!

Those are the greatest rollerskates ever. You need to use them ALL THE TIME. Even at work!

I apologize if the preceding post contained too many smilies.
