Sometimes things really do not turn out how you expect. I originally wanted to make a tuxedo-style jersey dress, but then bought grey jersey instead of black at the fabric store (it was cheaper and so much softer).

So I changed my mind and decided to make a comfy romper thingy with big pockets. And then when the frills turned out super huge I decided it would actually be an Edwardian-esque dress.

But in the end it looked like something a school matron would wear. Oh well.

(school matrons can be sexy too)

Never mind. It was a fun adventure anyway. I will probably add some buttons on the front panel as some serious damage control.

What do you think? Any suggestions?

skroddle la da, darling. School Matronly or not, it's still adorable and looks very comfortable. We're all about the jersey here, and school matrons i think, are not, so much.

I actually REALLY like it.  You can pull of front ruffles and I DO like the idea of buttons.

You should totally wear it .

I like it too.  I am not sure about adding the buttons.  It looks cute on you.

I like it. it does look comfortable. do you think changing the neckline could make a difference?? i think it would have looked better if the skirt started lower on the hips so that the white part could go further down, but i don't think you can change that now anyway. the buttons are a good idea, though

Everybody likes pink. People who think otherwise are in denial.

i LOVE this. it has SO much potential!

i say add some little buttons down the front and maybe something along the waistline...? i don't know, there's something about how abruptly the white ends that's bothering me...

I love it! I think maybe a white band around the waistband instead of buttons down the ruffle.  I think it looks really cute. Smiley
