Ladies and Gentlemen let me introduce you to the fabulous Aqua Maureen!
This mermaid made her debut last Wednesday night at Dr. Sketchy's Tokyo.

Her tail was knit from many different yarns and I used Nikol Lohr's Siren pattern from her book "Naughty Needles".

The seaweed top was my own pattern and knit with a bamboo cotton blend.

AFTER her encounter with a devious pirate aboard his ship Aqua Maureen was transformed...

All of the pieces in this picture are my own patterns. I knit the starfish bikini using a silk/acrylic/nylon blend and some cotton yarn for the straps. The silver part of the fishy bottom is silk and the blue/green part is a cotton/acrylic blend. The bronze fish net was knit with a nylon ribbon yarn.

This whole project took about 3 months to complete.
Thanks for looking and thank you for any comments!

"Stressed" is "desserts" spelled backwards.

I saw this on the recent projects thing and thought "That looks like someone knitted a mermaid tail, but... that can't be true".

Man, oh man, this is fabulous. Slapping "This Rocks"!
