All I can say is...wow...thank you so much!

The top pic is a crochet hook keeper, a necklace and an altoids tin. The bottom is a pillow that is embroidered.

Didn't AshestoAshes do such a great job??? OmG... I love all of it.

Thanks everyone! I really love how the pillow came out, I was afraid what I had in my head wouldn't actually materialize, but it did.

It's always weird to see stuff I've had in my house and been working on so long show up on the internet a few days later. I'm glad it's found a good new home though Smiley

Hey, Everyone.  I just got back from an out-of-town wedding and was happy to find a package waiting for me in the main office of my apartment building.  I can't stop gushing over the Tori stuff Rhino sent me.  She put a lot of thought into her crafts.

Here they are:

A wall hanging with a holder for a Tori figurine

The Boys for Pele figurine comes with her own piglet

Stocking detail

There's a tattoo on her back of a piano and the words "Boys for Pele"

A "Blood Roses" knitted purse with a handmade lining and belt handle

Some lyrics from "Blood Roses" have been inked into the lining

And an "Icicle" scarf knitted with zippers, bits of wedding dress, lace, cotton, mohair, Barbie hands, wool, rabbit pelts, acrylic yarn, polyester ribbons, vinyl, etc.

Thank you, Rhino!

Librarylolita I am so happy you liked my interpretations of her songs, this was a gas Smiley
ps the Tori figurine can also sit on the edge of the pot if you plan on planting a little seedling in there:)

Rhino, those are some awesome and creative ways to interpret the songs! I think the Icicle scarf is my favorite, but I love the bag too.

the barbie hands are there for a duel purpose as well not only pretty to look at but they close the scarf even on a windy day Smiley

I got my package from Sparklehorse today! It was a great mail day...came home from my first day of the semester to two swap packages Smiley

Sparklehorse sent me some awesome stuff.

First, a set of notecards inspired by "Winter":

The inside of the cards say "when i think of winter"

A cool modified tshirt inspired by Strange Little Girls. It says "Satin Worship" and has blue ribbon ties on the side. I tried to get a good action shot, but I lack a full length mirror and the pics came out horrible. My chair will model instead:

And fascist panties! These are awesome and made me laugh a lot:

From the front they look so girly and unassuming:

and then it says fascist on the bum:

She also sent me a CD of her favorite Tori songs. It's always interesting to see what someone's favorites are, I'm looking forward to listening to the songs she chose.

Thanks again for an awesome swap Sparklehorse!

Hey Everyone!

I think that everyone has received their positive feedback by now.  If there's any issues please let me know.

I'm a horrible swap partner and I still havne't taken shots of the stuff I received, but I do have photos of the stuff that I made.  Consider these a sneak preview to what Rhino may post later on....

This was my first attempt at collage art.  I liked it but I have a loooong way to go!

My lord!  I finally have pictures!!

First I have to say thank you to my great partner!  Fabulous communication throughout - which I sooo appreciate!

Unfortunately I have to say that by the time my package got to me it had been severely abused and some stuff was damaged.   Cry

Nonetheless, the package was great!  Here's the photos:

*This is a scaned copy of a really great original piece.  Unfortunately she came a little beat up, but no worries, she's still getting the love she deserves!*

*This is a cuff bracelet with a really cool concept.  Unfortunately it came busted.  I must admit that I was a little stumped at first (I didn't realize that it was broken), but it's making sense in my head now.  I'm super bummed that it's broken.*

No worries!  If you happen to have the scanned copy saved I would love it if you could pass it along to me!  I could print it out myself.  I think I may actually be able to save the braclet.  I'm going to tinker around with it this weekend.

Don't feel bad.  These things happen!

Hey ladies.  I just got back from seeing two Tori shows in 1 week!  It was amazing to say the least.

I was browing around her site and noticed that she's having a DIY video contest for her next single "Bouncing Off Of Clouds."  You're provided with a number of green screen clips and you can work your way around the rest.

I don't know if any of you turn your craftiness to the animation or video side of things, but just in case I thought I would mention it.

Here's the link to the contest page:
