My mum is the fit model for the outdoor clothing company Royal Robbins (I tried to make those words a hyperlink but it wasn't working...any ideas?)  Therefore, I not only get great discounts, but also the occasional freebie from the design loft.  Yea!   Cool *ahem* So, that combined with the fact that I really did not feel like doing my precalculus homework led to the turning of three of these:  http://www.royalrobbins.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=100807&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=6&iSubCat=38&iProductID=100807 into a soft soon-to-be pillow.  The only problem is, I sewed them together with yarn, and chenille + yarn = not a very sturdy combo.  Soooo...we shall see if it can hold some fluffy stuffing.  I call it "retro" because the colour blocks remind me of the sweaters the ladies wear on one of my mum's ancient Jane Fonda workout videos.  Wink
a combo back/front view so you can see the cool assymetricallity of the colour blocks...oooooh, ahhhh...Well,  I like them assymetrical, anyway.  Not that that was intentional, mind you.
close up of the ribbing, which goes different directions and is different sizes on each piece because of the, erm...let's call it "creative" and not "ill-planned" way I sewed them together.

Ta-Da!  Not nearly as exciting or creative as a lot of what is on here...but fun, nonetheless.  Ahh, the zen of sewing.
