Well, it is a large project.  I think the item I made took me about three weeks of no other crafting but crocheting (wasn't sure I was going to make the deadline).

hello everyone!

I think I must have been snowyangel's second swap angel...

I got the first PM about angeling for her on Dec 7, and after a few days of working out what I was making for her - we got settled on an afghan. I was hoping to get it sent before Christmas, or at least by New Year's but the family went out of town for the holidays and it was too large to trundle along with us. I finally got it into the mail earlier today!

The box is stuffed full of afghan, LOL! - it is going to jack in the box her when she opens the box, and again when she opens the bag!   Grin

The postal clerk said it would get to her on Saturday, and I hope so because she has been waiting way too long! I sent it priority in hopes that it would get there in the time they said it would...

anyway - I asked her if she wanted me to post a teaser photo - she said yes, so I am, and here it is! All rolled up and ready to go in the box so you don't know the size - but you can see the colors! Mostly browns with white accents - just like you wanted...

if that isn't good enough of a teaser, let me know and I will add a close up tomorrow!  Wink

Can't wait to see the afghan in all it's glory.  What an amazing gift!  Such a shame that some folks have been waiting so long for their packages to arrive - the afghan will certainly be very well received!   Smiley

I am really happy with how it turned out, and wanted to post it in the crochet forum after she gets it so I took 4 or 5 pics of it - mostly laid out flat - so if she can't get photos, I got some to share, LOL!

It always baffles me when people offer to angel and then don't follow through - why offer if you can't do it?

Oh well!

I had a great time making it and hope it makes her happy when she gets it.

I know what you mean.  We call 'em chocolate swiss rolls in the UK!  Yum.

Ahem, may I have your attention please. Actually i think this blanket will do that for me. Cheesy Take a look at this beauty that my awesome angel Rhonda made up rather quickly(excuse the kitty intervention). My "fur kids" love it and it feels very soft and comfy. I can see many movies nights on the couch wrapped up in this. I would say it easily covers a double sized bed. Who's jealous?! Tongue

The over all shot

Mmmm so comfy!

Thanks for being such a kick-arse angel Rhonda and thanks Miss V for finding her! Cheesy
