yeah $14 - totally reasonable - i haven't used moorehouse before - but have heard it lovely!
my nephew is 7 and a half  - is that too old for these? i'm sure they would fit but worry that he might be too old/cool for them.

um, i'm 23 and want some for myself.  that's probably because my bf and i have a joke about lobster claws, and i'm not sure if i'd wear them in public, but still...

eta: i suppose most kids go through that phase where they are so concerned with being cool and they don't want to do anything outside the norm, and then most of them grow out of it again.  (although some don't go through it and some never grow out of it, but that's another story...)  but i think that probably starts more around middle school, doesn't it?

yes that is what i'm worried about - they might be too outside the norm - but middle school is a ways off so that makes me feel better!

and yes i agree i think want a pair myself!!
they kind of remind me of the lobster guy on futurama:

i love the idea of lobster claws sticking out of a winter parka

I am 21 and would totally wear those - also outside. . . in public. But little boys can be wierd about what's "cool".
(Don't you just love how kids are often more uptight than adults?  Wink )

I'm joining the "I want those!" chorus! I'm 22 years old and totally not ashamed to wear something wacky like that out in public. These rock (lobster).  Grin

yes! i just showed these to my sister and she was like "i want them!" but "if you make these for alex you might end up like the aunt on a christmas story" (that makes ralphie that knit bunny suit)   Cheesy well when he was born that was one of our quests but i guess he is just too old for them ... so sad how quick kids grow up - now i sound like a grandma rather than a twenty-something!

Well, give him another 15 years, I guess Wink
I am lucky enough to not only have a little brother, but also a little sister - so anything I want to make may be passed to the other if not deemed cool by one. . .
I never had an issue with wearing wierd things as a kid - or in highschool for that matter- the wierder the better! I got teased a bit, but who didn't? Kids always find something  Roll Eyes
At least if you really want to make them you have a willing recipient in your sister! Cheesy
