Here's my mini bobble hat collection, the red one isn't finished yet. It needs its tomato top.





I'm having such fun doing them, it could so easily become a bit of a obsession. Yay for ridiculously small beanies squee!

I went to the Knitting and Stitching show at Alexandra Palace last Friday and picked up a Rowan kit with the pattern and yarn and a pair of funky metallic red needles. The yarns were pale pink and cream and I have already made 5 hats. Am off and running now and as soon as I use all the yarn in my kit I shall be raiding my stash to make some different ones. I feel some funky fur hats coming on.

And part of the kit price was donated to the fund too so all the better.

Shall post some pics when I have done some more. Explaining to people at my lacemaking  group on saturday why I was making hats for drinks bottle was quite a laugh too.

ooh my friend got me one of the rowan kits for my birthday but my yarn's blue and brown. the metal needles are amazing though aren't they? so easy to work with!

Yes they are lovely, I am thinking of ordering a couple from the Rowan website for my mum and a couple of friends.  Up to seven hats now and still got some yarn left.

I took my one little hat to the P.O. today and was informed that unless I pay for the super-duper fast shipping (mucho $$$), it wouldn't get there by Oct 22nd.  I barely had enough money with me to send it in the first place, so it's back home with me.  I'm so sad, but they do this every year, right?  I guess I'll just make a hoard of them for next year...

According to their website this is the 4th year they have been doing it so I would think they will do it next year.  Must send mine off in the next few days.

My favourites were the bumble bee and the charlie brown hat, the fire hat and the hat that said 'hat'.

Those hats look great! i wish i'd seen this a couple of months ago (i only saw the Big Knit a week before the closing date).

I love the earflap hat, i am totally in love with its cuteness!
