Hi
I made a new head board for our bed. I upholstered a wooden board with foam and fleece and covered it with a kind of velour material and stapled it at the back.
The bedcover is 2,5 x 2,5 meters. I mixed violet and green for the stripes. While it grows, it was more and more difficult to handle under the sewing machine.

Have a good day and thanks for looking.

Lovely! mmm soft fuzzy headboard, what a shame to spend most your time with it asleep! The beadspread is very nice too.

Yeah, I've sewn some Very Large Items before- makes me want a comercial machine with a very long arm! and your legs get all hot with all that material piled in your lap. :: makes note to only sew Very Large Items in winter::

Oh, I adore this headboard!  It looks beautiful and you make it sound horribly simply, lol.  It's insane how if you bought something like this in the store they would charge outrageous prices.  I really might have to make something like this for my bed for my new apartment.

I love the bed cover and pillows- purples and greens are my absolute favorite color scheme, and I dig the ornamentation and rich fabrics. Is it crushed velvet? Great job. Shocked

Love the headboard. After we get settled in our new apartment my mom is going to come visit me with her jigsaw so we can make me a new padded headboard just like yours, except maybe not a rectangle. Great job!
