I've seen some bags made from woven magazine pages and decided to make my own. It is lined and snaps shut. Its big enough to hold phone, ipod, money & gum not much else. I'm hoping the paper will not fall apart when i use it.

comments very welcome!

I love the look! I'm trying to think of things that might make it more durable, but the only thing I can think of that you could do now would be to use a very light coat (or six!) of spray varnish - it might help the durability of the paper. Other ideas that could be used while you're making it is ironing your woven paper onto iron-on interfacing, and/or putting vinyl on the outside, so that it protects the paper without obscuring it. (if you could get a clear, self-adhesive vinyl you could still try that. See how it holds up first though) Awesome stuff!

aww thanks! i will most defiantly use some of your advices Hollow Shel, I also thought it would be smart to laminate the woven pieces before weaving them. I hadn't thought of interfacing but its a great idea. I'm hoping to try a wallet. Can't get a picture now but will post one soon! thanks so much!
