Here is yet another smock that I designed and made for my potter friend Rachel. This is some great Urban Chicks fabric that she picked out.  I used store-bought bias tape and vintage buttons.  I'm making towels with matching borders and corner buttonholes to button onto the smock's buttons for keeping things clean!

That's neat, and a great fabric, too!  Did you cut out the birds ad attach them to the brown, or was it coordinated already with the blue?

Thanks everyone!  The fabric has birds on it that coordinates with the pocket fabric.  Not sure where she got it.  I'll ask her if I think of it!  I'm sure you can find it online.

i have no idea what a smock is but i love the look of it.  it's stunning!

I know it's thought of often as an 'Artist's Smock', but while my friend Rachel does wear hers while making her pottery, she also pretty much wears her smocks ALL day long around her farm and studio.

She uses the deep pockets to collect her chickens' eggs!  I think that's a grand use for them!!!

wow. i'd be too afraid to wear that beautiful smock while crafting/painting/etc seeing as how by the time im done with a project, there is more glue and paint on me than on the actual project.
