I love doing these purses.  I'm a graphic designer so I use Adobe Photoshop to take my image and colorize and add brightness and saturation to it.  I made this purse for a friend...I painted it with Americana paints and Dazzling Metallics mixed with Staining medium, then I took off the original bamboo handle and made my own beaded handle.  The image is a laserjet printout that I adhered with glue to the front of the purse...then I taped off all the areas and poured envirotex lite on top...I made two sides...one for each of her cats, Puzzle and Waffle.

Love it.

The PhotoShop stuff is really nice - I love the idea of using photos that were meaningful to your friend and adding some artistic flair.

Envirotex Lite is another one of those things I'm gonna learn some day!  Do you just use masking tape on the sides?  Is that enough to keep it from dripping down the sides?

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

Yes, you use masking tape.  I have yet to totally master the envirotex...I think the masking tape did a pretty good job, but in certain areas it seeped a thin layer on the sides...so I just sanded it off (It was just in certain spots).  I like the distressed look anyway, so once I sanded off and repainted certain areas, you couldn't even tell that the envirotex was there.  It looked intentionally distressed and cool.

Oh - yeah, that would work!  Your purse is very inspiring.  One of these days. . .

Smashing in the face of a pinata that resembles Summer Wheatley is a disgrace to you, me, and the entire Gem State.
