my friend and i did henna tattoos a few weeks ago.  this is the pattern she drew on my hand in marker the day before we did the actual tattoos while we waited for the henna to be ready.  unfortunately i forgot to take pics of the actual henna tattoo after it was finished, but i thought the practice drawing in marker was pretty enough to share with the world:

thanks for looking

woww. thats blue henna? i always got the orange kind. but maybe that's a traditional thing. how long has it been on? because i get them at like every family wedding...anyway. the design is really nice. lots of people mess up at weddings because there's so many people's hands to do!

yeah it is just marker... sorry to dissapoint Smiley  the actual tattoo was rather pretty but i forgot to take a pic.  it lasted a few days but the henna we used was kinda crappy.  i had to buy it on ebay because there are no stores that sell it around here.

but while i have this post going anyway i might as well ask if anyone knows what brand of henna works the best??  im kinda new at this and id like to make some good tattoos... the ones that last longer than 3 days, but i dont know whats the best to look for.

What kind of henna did you buy?  There are lots of popular kinds depending on what you want.

It's also possible that the henna had gone bad... before you buy it, you should ask the seller if they keep it in the freezer, and you should do the same until right before you want to use it.
