I absolutely love this! I think it's a great idea and I would like to have one, but...I can't afford it. Is there any way I could remake this?

There's this place here in Wichita called 'The Yard' and it's a place where they sell discounted metal stuff. Like, washers, lengths of chain, basically anything you'd find at harbor freight or lowes.

My suggestion is to go to some place like that and pick up a hollow aluminum bar that is threaded on both ends. screw on a base and a holder for the thousand little strands of bouncy metal. Use thin pieces of metal and sauder them onto the base, or attach them in some other fashion. Attach roach clips to each of the ends and viola! Happiness!

Atleast, to me that's how it looks like it's constructed...could be wrong...?
