that's beautiful. The beads are a lovely touch. I'm so impressed that it was your first proper project. I'd love to try weaving - did you find it hard? Had you tried before or had any tuition? I'm nervous about taking the plunge and buying a loom but can't find anywhere to hire one from.....

Hi!  I had never even seen weaving done before.   Just rented a loom, got a few tips from the lady who rented it from me, got a good book and went for it.  I did a practice piece first and then did this scarf.   Buying a loom without getting to try the craft out is scary - but as long as the loom isn't too big or complicated, I'm sure you can figure it out.   Is there any place nearby where you can talk to a weaver or take a class?
