Not the craftiest of recons - since I just turned chairs into chairs  Wink

Originally they were brown.  I bought them at a rummage sale - $5 for the pair.  Someone made these little chairs by hand - as some of the construction is less than perfect.  But they are sturdy and were a good starting place for one of my first painted furniture tries.

Oh, and because I know someone else will think those feet are as funny as I do, they came from Ikea - but a long time ago.  I was saving them for something special.

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

Thanks everybody!  They were a lot of fun to do.  I kind of have a thing for chickens (not real ones, just cute ones that don't make a mess!)

It was my first furniture project - but I had been doing some of that Donna Dewberry style stuff in my house, and just translated that to the chicks, eggs & nest.  The rest were just simple dots (end of paintbrush), taped lines, etc.

For anyone else with NO talent for drawing, her stuff is really easy to learn.  As I told my family, I can't paint anything I want, but I can fake it if Donna Dewberry has put out a template that's kind of like it.  The only problem is that most of her stuff is a little cutesy, cutesy for my taste.  But it's been fun, for the first time in my 50 years on the planet, to draw something and have other people be able to tell what it is!

Such a great job! The feet really seal the deal for me. You've got some very lucky kids at your house.
