I had this sudden random urge to crochet a skinhead doll. I'm not sure why.

I tried to give him folded-up pants, but it wasn't really visible so I scrapped it. I may try again.

Then I had this idea to make a whole set of subculture dolls in the same vein, and started with a 50's girl. I don't know how clear her subculture is - I might shorten her bangs some, and maybe embroider on some tattoos? Or make a tiny fimo cherry necklace. =)

I have ideas for more dolls, but that's a lot of small tight fiddly crocheting and my hands need a rest.

(Maybe tomorrow...)

Cool!  I can't decide if your girly doll reminds more of Lily Allen or Amy Winehouse, gotta love that dress. Smiley

Those are great! For the skinhead, if you still want his pants to have cuffs, you could always surface crochet a single row around the bottom of the legs in a shade of lighter yarn. Hope you don't mind the suggestion but thats what a knitter did for yarn baby jeans to make them look cuffed. I think it was knit. it was either knitty.com or crochetme.com but one of them did that.
