12 days ago my niece was born and I suddenly felt the urge to knit something for her... I wanted to try the Baby Bolero from One Skein, and after deciding the yarn and a couple days knitting.. Here it is !!

On top of the stipes I made a couple mods on the pattern; Changed the decreases and increases, no eyelet motif of course (busy enough with those stripes!), added some shaping to the sleeve holes (I hated how the original boxy look) and replaced the ribbing with a simple crochet edging...

All in all I loved making it, so quick and a nice pattern, and Love the final result. I'm sending it tomorrow to my SIL, I hope she'll like it too !

That is so cute and adoreable!  I love the crotchet edging, it really makes it pop Smiley  I like the colors of the stripes, too!  What kind of yarn did you use?

Thanks so much !! I'm glad and relieved I'm not the only one who thinks it's cute and not just "loud"..   Tongue  But then, I like bright colors on babies !!

The yarn is Cotonina from "miss Helen", cheap french yarn which happens to be an exact substitute for "Wellness" by Gedifra (I believe it's the exact same yarn with a different label.. and cheaper, which is cool !)
