I'm learning myself to knit and the first thing i did was make a Small piece a knitted fabric just for fun and today i decided id make a pencil roll out of it the strap would have been a lot prettier if the cotton i used for it didn't snap in the middle of me making the strap
closed (or rolled up?)

i learned the basis stitch during the making of this and i learned how to make a cord

Great idea!
I think I'll make one tomorrow. I am going to sell at a swap meet, and this would be a great project, mainly being a rectangle and all.  Cheesy

i used a flat needle i found in my mothers needle box which was perfect for pulling the wool true it and just put a knot at eather side of the tread
