Bingo card journal

Here's my first one, right from St. Adalbert School Bingo hall. I made the text block myself from manila paper and trimmed it using a ream cutter and a corner trimmer.

Discoveries:
1. Sewing signatures on the sewing machine with the longest stitch setting works really well. If you fold the top sheet of the signature in half you can use it as a sewing guide. It even makes the signatures easier to fold!
2. A brayer works great for spreading glue onto endsheets so that it's not too thick.
3. You really need to check twice before you glue your board covers on to make sure that one isn't upside down. LOL

Thanks. Yeah, it's pretty stable. It has to be since it will eventually live in my purse with all of my electronic gadgets.

That is fabulous.  I have really been wanting to make some notebooks, but been very intimidated by the whole getting a block of paper all the same size and all lined up.  I don't know what a ream cutter or a corner trimmer are (although it does seem kind of self-explanatory).  Are they expensive?

I even have some very cool bingo cards - that is such a great idea!

I really like the way this looks (and all the other things that could be used for this). 

So, I googled ream cutters and corner rounders - I guess I won't be getting any of that stuff!  Back to the drawing board

Karen - I don't own them myself, either. I use the equipment in the college's media department. You may be able to find someplace that you can use these things as well.

Funny thing about the corner trimmer - when we moved the library my boss walked into my office carrying this little machine in one hand, threatening to throw it out because nobody used it. I about keeled over, since I had never even seen it before. I protected it and moved it myself to the new library, where it has an honored spot in the "Dangerous Implements Room" with the paper cutter, ream cutter and dry mount press.

ahhh so that's how people get round corners...i just thought they were amazingly skilled hehe
