OK I'm heading to the dollar store ASAP to get the yarn for this bag ... I've been wanting to make it for long enough!

My only concern is ... what size hook should I use, if I'm going to use 1 strand of fun fur, 1 of boa and 1 of worsted (like the pattern states)? P? Q?

Anyone have any input?

I think I used an N because I didn't plan on lining it...P or Q should be fine though.

Love this one! But alas I don't get fur yarn here:( But I am going to try this nevertheless with something called feather yarn which is something close:) I think I will make a smallish purse first to see how much yarn it eats:) Thanks again for the tute!

Sometimes it's knit and sometimes it's crochet.

This is awesome. You did such a good job working with the furry yarn. I have some of that Bernat Disco and it's so difficult to crochet. Yay! for clearance yarns.

ok I covet this purse, but I have a question.  When you say you did a chain then went round and round does that mean your crocheted up one side of the chain, then down the other?  Also what do you mean when you say you sewed the bottom?

No. Basically I did a chain and slip stitched so it made a giant loop...and I continued to kind of spiral up from there (whereas normally you would finish eat row by connecting with a slip stitch, I just kept going around).

Then by sewing the bottom...I just whipstitched one of the open sides of the piece. By the time you're done crocheting it should look like a fat tube, and you just whipstitch one side closed.

Hope that helps.
