Im having way too much fun with totes. My newest creation; I found this perfect brocade cloth to use as a lining, and decided to use this tutorial:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=186910.0 for the inside pocket. I made my own design for the outside front and back pockets and came up with the tote below. The symbols are from an anime called Bleach, and the character of Hitsugaya.

Measures 10 1/2" W x 10 1/2" H x 2 1/4" deep. Middleweight twill.

Now that I learned to work with brocade, i have to remember to buy pinking shears. I spent half my time cleaning up the frayed threads.

Front (Zippered pocket on front)

Back: (with open pocket)

Inside with the double pocket:

Without the junk to see the lining and pockets:

Totes are becoming my favorite bags to make.

You did a lot of interesting things with this one -- a couple of which I will have to try, like the open pocket on the back. I also love the length of the handles and the lining. Good job.

very nice, my daughter is really into manga and cosplay, she likes bleach alot too. We made some costume with the same lines dot pattern you have on the bag, but it was on a kimono.

OMG - is that tenth division Bleachware I spy? I love little Toushiro! Nice bag, and nice decor. How did you get all the fun little flowers/dots/ovals on? I'd love to make my own!
Great job!

you spy very well.. Hitsugaya's division in all its glory. ^_~ .
As for the symbol and dots/ovals they are all appliqued onto the bag. Next time, I'm going to try silkscreening.
