Besides Geek_Pride (who can't get it yet), how many times have y'all watched the Serenity DVD?

...Hoping I'm not the only one who's watched it 6 or 7 times since I got it on its release date.

Oh, I'm sure you are not...in all I saw it about 7 times in the theater, inclding some of the cool pre-showings.  Then there are the shindigs to lure in new converts :-)

I only got to see it twice in theaters.  It's tough to get out when you have to arrange for a babysitter, so I saw it once with the hubby and once on my own while the hubby watched out daughter.  Would have seen it more if I could have!

As for the DVDs... well, it's been a few times, let's just say that.  Smiley

Definitely saw it twice on opening weekend. As for on DVD? Only thrice, and once was with commentary, but I've been busy.

Geek_pride, are you from Australia? You guys get the pimped-out version of the DVD, do you not? I'll bet it's worth the wait.

This was my go at this (my first ever hat too):

The orange is Bernat Softee-Chunky, the yellow and red are Patton's Shetland Chunky. I used US#10 needles with about 70 cast ons (using 24" circulars this was the fewest that would work).
I think it turned out a bit large, next time I might use #9 needles, and make the orange a little less tall.

Nice job, 3j0hn!  It manages to make you look both gruff and lovable at the same time, so kudos!

I have decided to make a Jayne Cobb hat for the Knitting Olympics.

I will post pictures when I am done.  Thank you so much for the pattern and if anyone else is knitting in the Knitting Olympics then good luck to you as well.
