Your pretty cunning hats are making me so jealous.  They're all magnificent.  I saw Serenity last night, did not notice The Hat Cameo, but will definitely look out for it next time I go.  My theatre seemed to hold quite a few Browncoats (easy to tell apart from the non-Browncoats, no hat-wearers, though), it was very fun.

The hats are beautiful very cunning.

CartoonistJme, I'd love to see a photo of the crocheted Jayne hat (although I can crochet like I can sprout wings), I think it'd be interesting.

If only I didn't have homework, I could go see it again. . .rrr.

Heh.  I finally started offering kits, because so many people were having trouble finding yarn in the right colors.  Must be all us Firefly knitters all realizing "Ack!  I need a hat NOW!"

Of course, if you're in Australia, summer's coming on... so try not to sweat in your hat too much!

ah, but we're headed to europe for their winter; and our poor desert-climate bodies need all the double-thick wooly help they can get.

anyone interested in the complete crochet pattern for the hat? (I figure knitters can't have all the fun)  Smiley

The Hat and I went to the BDM again on Saturday to check out the Alleged Hat Cameo...

Jayne does wear a hat with earflaps when they go to Beaumont, but it is not The Hat, as far as I could tell. This one 'pears to have colorwork, looks kinda Tibetan maybe?

It's on screen very briefly, easy to miss unless you're looking for it.

It is definetly NOT the hat (in Serenity). It is the same shape with ear flaps but the yarn and colouring is completely different.

I've seen Serenity twice, but I picked up that much the first time I saw it Wink

I don't think it's the orange hat either. I thought maybe it was similar to the Train Job hat, but having looked at a photo of it I don't think that's right either.
