I will post two photos here. One is the photo of Emisanboo helping a knitter pick up stitches for the earflaps. *raises hand* I'm the knitter...  Grin The second is the finished product. I think I got the earflaps a little short, not fully understanding the directions, but my youngest looks pretty cunning, eh?

My inspiration for knitting came from Firefly and Serenity!

Aw, he looks very fierce in that brain protector!  Nice job!

You don't mention it, but we were actually at the Can't Stop the Serenity screening when we were knitting.  That's got to make it extra Browncoaty!

Very cunning!  These are on my list... my ever growing list!  I'm doing the newborn knitting first because I'm kinda on a time limit there.

Hey all.  I think I found an actual grave in my area with the wool, so Im ready to start making my own brain protector, Is there a place I can go just to get the directions on how to make it without having to buy a kit?

Page two of this topic has a pile of flesh, and there are oodles of patterns around the internet.  Poke around, you'll find one.  Smiley

I'm happy I found this thread about the Jayne hats. Is there a pile of flesh for this for knitters who knit hats on circular knitting looms?
I am asking because I'm a loom knitter and would eat trying to make myself a Jane brain protector for Halloween.
