Dude you guys are the coolest.  I been looking forever (yeah right, like an hour) for these here hats.  Anyway, here's the deal.  Anybody looking to sell one of them there hats?  I'd crap a pistol if I could get my hands on one of these.  Anyways, if any of you wanna make a few bucks, I'm willing to pay for one of them Jayne hats.  Any interested parties can email me (by clicking on my name... you all know how to do that).  Preferably I'd like one from Emisamboo, cause that one looks the closest (the funny poofy top).  Anyways thanks alot for any replies I get on this.

Have you all seen the Joss Whedon swap?  I wonder how many people are going to make these great Jayne hats!

I'm signed up but I don't knit.  I tend to glue things to other things.   Grin  I haven't decided what to do yet!

I spelled Jayne wrong in my last post.  I don't deserve to call myself a Browncoat. I could give a lame excuse about having a good friend named Jane and that's why I spelled it wrong... but that would just be a weak and pathetic attempt at excusing the unexcusable.  My apologies.... once again, that's the sweetest hat ever.  Very cunning:)

Heather's Firefly hat

...

Congratulations! You have a cunning hat!

If you have questions, feel free to contact me at hill at booboomonkey period com.

Thank you for the instructions.  I've wanted to make one since I first watched the DVD.  I just don't know how to make patterns, but I can follow one real good!

I'm equally obsessed with Firefly and knitting, so it seemed only natural that I make a Jayne Cobb hat for my Firefly-obsessed friends' baby:

I sort of winged it; I used the pattern by Emisanboo as a guideline (thanks!  it's an awesome pattern!), and various screenshots from the show.  I used Cascade 220 as I was afraid the thicker rougher yarns would be too scratchy.

I am so proud.

Also, this is my first Craftster post.  Hi!

You sort of "winged" it?  No pun intended??   Grin

Welcome to Craftster, and what an adorable first post!!

The baby seems to like his gift too.
