Great job. Adam Baldwin must know he (well really the writers) started a Jayne Cobb hat revolution. Hehehe. I love that episode, he was just so excited to get it from his madre. hehe.

Love it.

cheers!

Hope you all had fun if'n you attended the Browncoat event of the year (okay, maybe except Flanvention).  Serenity Now/Equality Now totals are still being finalized but the current estimate for all 47 cities from Australia to England?

Over $64,450.  That ain't bad!  Nice 'lil Job if we fans say so ourselves.   www.cantstopthesere nity.com

It was so much fun to see all the Jayne hats walking around.  We had three or four donated by knitters for our raffle prizes.  The winners were proud, Jyane-hat-wearin' folk.  Good times.

Hey, hon!  Your link has an extra 'r' in it - serernity - so it isn't linking properly.  Might want to fix it.  We want everyone to see how mighty we are.  Smiley

ahhh.. it's turning towards fall.  Time to bring the word that them that need it and a 'lil warmth with new Jayne hats.  I'm looking foward to another season of new Jayne knitters.

I hear knitting a Jayne hat cures Space Dementia.  It's gotta do wonders for seasonal blahs!

Here's the hat I made my boyfriend before he was my boyfriend... we like to think my obsessive Jayne Hat Knitting brought us together. My parents had Monty Python (they met because of their shared interest), and we have another cult phenomenon entirely.

Y'all see the man in the kitchen with the really big gun? I'm not saying you weren't easy to find, but it was kind of out of our way and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's looking to kill some folk, so really it's his will y'all should be worried about thwarting.

That looks great!  A man roots through the fridge in a hat like that, people know he's not afraid of anything!

And as another who found geek love, congratulations.  Ain't it the best?

shiny hat!

I think it's neat when Browncoats find each other.  I know of several couples here in the NW that met that way - one of 'em was married last summer (whole wedding party incl. attendees were in hawaiian shirts no less... dunno if that was Wash inspired or not but it was fun).

LOL @ GeekLove!
There's something so sexy about a guy who takes his sci-fi fantasy seriously.
My fianc and his roommate ran a serenity RPG game at our University Gaming Club Con the other night.  The game went so well that they're setting up a whole campaign.

All right folks, I have THREE Jayne hats in my christmas knitting queue...

One extra-large man sized hat.

One kid-sized hat.

One toddler-sized hat.

The kids are only 3 and infant right now, but I want to give them room to grow into them. It's all one family. So I have a proposition for the readers of this thread...

Help me figure out what alterations I need to make for the kid and toddler-sized hats...

And I'll obtain a pic after Christmas of the three of them wearing the hats. Smiley

Deal?
