I made one for my brother for Christmas, and now he's joined a Myspace group called "I Love My Jayne Hat" - you can only join if you own your very own hat, and members tell stories about their Jayne hat hijinks... LOL

Right now I'm making a lightweight one for my friend to wear to the Oaks race on Friday, 'cause everyone's gotta have a shiny hat during Derby time...   Smiley

It's the hero of Canton, the bear they call Pooh!

A Pooh walks down the street in that hat, people know he's not afraid of anything.  Grin

That is too funny.  Makes me wanna make my own Jayne hat (instead of giving them all away).

Have y'all heard about the international Serenity Now/Equality Now event?

June 23rd (and week surrounding) fans are hosting Serenity screenings to benefit Equality Now (Joss' charity of choice).  There are 38 confirmed cities on two continents right now (more cities and Europe in planning-stages).  We're having one in Seattle and two fokls have already donated Jayne hats for our raffle prizes.  I'm so excited!

That's so exciting! I just checked and I'm going to be in Minneapolis on the night it's playing - I'm so going. Thanks for the info, slgn!  Grin I'll wear my gorgeous Inara earrings I got from Paisleypanther in the Firefly swap!!!

Hope you all had fun if'n you attended the Browncoat event of the year (okay, maybe except Flanvention).  Serenity Now/Equality Now totals are still being finalized but the current estimate for all 47 cities from Australia to England?

Over $64,450.  That ain't bad!  Nice 'lil Job if we fans say so ourselves.   www.cantstopthesere nity.com

It was so much fun to see all the Jayne hats walking around.  We had three or four donated by knitters for our raffle prizes.  The winners were proud, Jayne-hat-wearin' folk.  Good times.
