The newest addition to my family is due next month and I would really like to try to make an outfit to take him home in.

I was thinking about something like this...

The pants seem so simple that I feel like there must be a tutorial of some sort out there for them I just cant seem to find one.

I recently bought a pattern for a similar top here in Japan but if you know of a tutorial for one in English I would love a link to it.  The Japanese one is adorable but of course all the instructions are in Japanese which at my skill level I'm not so confident in my know how to just attempt things without some sort of guide.

*Forgot to mention they by no means need to be reversible
