I was wondering if anyone made the burda 9769 with a cotton material?

I find that with a 5/8 inch seam allowance, girls' Burda patterns tend to run small.  My daughter's chest measures 21" - which is the size Burda usually lists for 2T, but the 2T is REALLY fitted on her (bordering on too tight).  When I put her in the 3 it fits about perfectly - you can always take it in or hem the length, but it's harder to let it out by using a teeny seam allowance (I know this first hand, I just had to resew something this weekend).  Anyway, it shouldn't be a problem to start with the 3.

Woo hoo!! Great info to know Mandi.  My learning curve when it comes to sewing is ginormous anyway so I'm sure you've saved at least one or two headaches in the near future for me. Thanks!!

Oh, and I'm going to use a knit cotton not a woven cotton...also a first for me  Shocked

FIVE months later, I finally found the discontinued Vogue pattern I was talking about.

And you are already finished.

It's a great pattern so I will post it anyway.

It's Vogue for Me V7894.
