More winter knitting completed in time for summer! hooray!

My second pair of socks (the first pair is not going to be seen in public, um, for a long time. Smiley )

Self-designed with lots of help from the awesome book The Twisted Sisters Sock Workbook:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1931499160/103-6510839-5973432?v=glance&n=283155. Just a simple cuff-down pattern with self striping yarn (which was awesome and whose brand name I do not remember)

My third pair of socks:

Knitty's Hedera: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEspring06/PATThedera.html

What a great, great pattern. So many of the details were really cool, like the twisted rib and the perfect heels. The lace was fun but not hard to remember, and I love the final product! Made with a no-name superwash merino (I think?) that was on sale at the yarn store, which hopefully does not get dirty too quickly.

Socks are awesome! I recommend them to everyone! Great subway knitting!

I've been working on Hedera's for a while (I've taken a break for more summery projects) and they ROCK. When I finished the first I walked around for a long time with just that sock on. Yours are very pretty! Good job!

Several Socks, by Miss Emily Flew.

This needs to be a children's book. Right now. =)

Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.

They came out great!  I love the Hedera, I just started working on these this weekend and I think it's a great pattern, easy to memorize and it comes out beautifully.

I just bought the Twisted Sisters Workbook- it looks awesome hey? SO much great information in it, and your socks turned out wonderfully. I'm nearly on holiday and I can see myself churning out many (hopefully) fantastic socks and probably developing some serious RSI in the process Smiley Well done again, both pairs look fab!

It's such a great book--I haven't quite progressed to the spinning-my-own-sock-yarn yet, but maybe it will inspire me to!
