i take your limerick and raise you a haiku:

i sew at night-time
letting lamp light guide my line
as fall awakens

i am done prepping all my stuffs and need to get crafting. a wee bit worried because i'm supposed to move (tomorrow?) and haven't STARTED packing. hopefully by sunday i will have a new crafting area set up!!

my small and big item have little thematic relation - funny how the style of the poetry has a big effect on it all - so i am going to have to work hard with my middle item to bridge the gap.

A saucy young woman named McCraftster
Sighed, "I simply can't knit any faster!
I'm all out of glue,
and my swap's almost due,
This is turning into a disaster!"

Hee!  I want to try, I want to try! Hmmmm

There was a girl who wouldn't admit
That she didn't quite know how to knit
She still tried, with some glitches
Dropped a few stitches
Now none of her sweaters will fit

my small and big item have little thematic relation - funny how the style of the poetry has a big effect on it all - so i am going to have to work hard with my middle item to bridge the gap.

Mine is kind of similar cause I'm working off of multiple, quite different poems. Thankfully, without purposefully planning for it, all my items are magically going to match quite well with each other. I love serendipity!

Don't stress about it too much  Undecided. The items don't have to fit each other...just the theme of the swap (i.e. poetry in general) and, hopefully  Wink, your partner's tastes.

Yeah,my swap's all over the place. It goes with poetry, and also with
my partner's likes,but it's sure not a theme!
I've already had to promise my daughter I'd make her her own version of one of the crafts.Boy,I'm having fun.The last time DH and DD went to the coffeehouse to play chess,I piled a tote bag full of random craft stuff, and went along.I came home with a swap item a third done-and it's my favorite item in the package.I think I'm going to try to do that every week!

Never enough glue
must have more,all kinds,and yes-
glitter.Ah,shiny!

am almost done on all items...just finishing touches now and dressing up....yay!!
i don't think all the items need to necessarily match each other...usually they are very different for me...some people have the knack for it,,,,

One week to send out...how's everybody doing? I, of course, start out thinking "I'm doing so great, I'll be able to ship early," and then end up shipping exactly the day of as my industriousness swiftly morphs into procrastination...
